It seems as though we have been getting some spotty showers the past 2 weeks. This is a lot better than a one time flooding or the drought we have been experiencing. Allow this water to flush fields and try to minimize pumping by using this water to do the flushing for you. However, if the water is held and sits for a period of time, it may increase decomposing plant life to lower the oxygen (More rapidly in warmer weather than cooler). Make sure to watch the water quality this time of the year. If we lost the crawfish in ponds now, the rest of the season will definitely be adversly affected.
