I had the opportunity this weekend to read an informative as well as well written and illustrated text. Mr. and Mrs. Horst are the authors of “The Louisiana Seafood bible: crawfish” and have done an excellent job with addressing many issues from the history to where crawfish are available. There are also many recipes that seem easy to follow and would be very useful as well. If there are any readers out there looking for a general resource related to crawfish production or information, this book seems to do a thorough job at answering common questions within the consumer industry (outside of direct field production).

This time of year, many producers may be developing marketing plans for the upcoming season, with the use of this book on the market available nationwide as well as the marketmaker website, there is a greater opportunity for more people to become informed as a whole of the crawfish industry in Louisiana.
